Cameroon,
Africa
2008
Woven Joy made an impact in
Cameroon, Africa this past June, 2008. Over 100 round
wordless style bracelets were used and given away
as gifts during english classes.
16 members of a mission team
from Waterloo, Iowa USA spent almost two weeks in
Cameroon, Africa teaching English classes, encouraging
local church members and missionaries and touring
a local orphanage. English color names were taught
using the Woven Joy bracelets along with
simple truths from the Bible.
Cameroon, like many African
countries is stricken by poverty and governmental
corruption. Woven Joy is glad to bring encouragement
and truth through the simple sharing of
a hand-made bracelet.
